Lighting Makes All the Difference

Use natural daylight whenever possible, but avoid direct sunlight.

If you can’t bring the item outside (like fridges, cabinets, etc.), use white LED lighting for the most neutral result.

Avoid yellow bulbs, colored lighting, or mixed light sources.

Make sure there are no shadows or glare on the surface you're photographing.

Clean your camera lens before taking the photo.

Hold your phone directly in front of the item, not at an angle.

Tap and lock focus/exposure on your phone:

On iPhone: Tap and hold on the object until AE/AF Lock appears.

On Android: Tap and hold on the object (depends on the phone model).

Adjust brightness manually if needed to avoid the photo being too dark or too bright.

If possible, place a white sheet of paper or a gray card next to the item in the photo — this helps balance the color.

Avoid flash, as it may create reflections and distort color.

How to Use Your Custom Color Match Sample Sheet

Achieving the perfect color match has never been easier. Follow these simple steps to ensure accurate results when using your Instawraps Color Match Sample Sheet.

1. Prepare Your Surface

Make sure the surface you are matching is clean, dry, and free of dust, oils, or debris. For best results, wipe the area with a lint-free cloth and an appropriate cleaning solution. Ensure the surface is under good natural lighting or consistent white-balanced artificial lighting.

2. Understand Your Sample Sheet Layout

Each sheet contains 110 printed swatches, sized at 2" x 2" each, arranged in order from lighter to darker variations of your chosen color. Swatches are precisely kiss-cut for easy peel-and-stick application. Every swatch is clearly labeled to help you identify your selection easily.

3. Selecting Your Matching Area

Apply the swatches directly onto the surface you are matching. If matching to objects that cannot be moved outdoors, such as kitchen cabinets, fridges, or furniture, use consistent indoor lighting and avoid colored lighting like yellow or blue tints. For vehicle matching, position the swatches on a flat section of the panel to avoid reflections or distortions.

4. Test Under Different Lighting Conditions

View your applied swatches under multiple lighting scenarios, including daylight or natural light, shaded or overcast conditions, indoor artificial lighting, and evening or low light. Some colors may shift slightly depending on the lighting environment. Choose the swatch that looks the best in the lighting where the finished project will be displayed most often.

5. Peel, Apply, Compare, Repeat

Gently peel the swatch you want to test and stick it onto your surface. Compare multiple swatches side by side to narrow down the best match. Use the label codes printed on each swatch to easily reference and communicate your chosen color when placing your order.

6. Finalize Your Choice with Confidence

Once you have identified the perfect shade, use the swatch’s label code to order the exact matching vinyl roll or product. Your selected shade will match the printed swatch, providing confidence and consistency for your final project.

Additional Tips for Best Results

Avoid matching swatches under direct harsh sunlight as glare may affect perception. Use a white or neutral-colored surface behind the swatch during comparison to avoid distortion from background colors. If needed, take photos of the swatches on the matched surface for reference, ensuring your camera's white balance is set correctly.

The product is showing out of stock. When will it be back in stock?

When a product is unavailable, it most likely means that it is in the production process. We will update our inventory as soon as we have it back in stock.

In the meantime, visit the product page on our website, select any out-of-stock size, and click the "Notify me" button to receive an alert with it's available again.

How many feet of material would I need to wrap my car?

Great question. Please use our special Size Chart to match the amount of material needed.

When will my order be fulfilled?

Instawraps aims to fulfill all orders on the same day they are received. Orders placed before 11:00 AM EST are typically shipped the same day. Orders placed after 11:00 AM EST may be shipped the next business day.

For customers in Ontario, Canada, we offer a same-day local delivery option. Orders placed between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM EST are dispatched within 1 hour and are expected to arrive before 5:00 PM EST. Order placed outside these hours or on non-business days will be dispatched the next next business day after 10:00 AM EST. Express shipping options are also available at checkout, with express orders received before 11:00 AM EST generally shipped the same day.

Is there a cut-off time for same day curbside pickup orders?

Yes, the cut-off time for same-day curbside pickup orders is 11:00 AM EST. Orders placed before this time will typically be ready for pickup by the end of the day.

If an order is placed after 11:00 AM EST and same-day pickup is needed, customers can pay a $25 fee at checkout for expedited same-day pickup. Otherwise, orders placed after the cut-off time will likely be ready the next business day.

Please note, curbside pickup is only available at our Ontario location.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards.

Canadian customers can also pay via E-transfer, and U.S. customers via Zelle.

Additionally, we offer a partial payment plan through Sezzle, which lets you split your purchase into four equal, interest-free payments. The first payment is due at checkout, with the remaining payments automatically deducted every two weeks.

How can I request to return an item?
