Give vehicle surfaces a clean, technical and dimensional appearance with Avery Dennison® SW900 White Carbon Fiber SW900-115-X . Its bright white foundation is combined with a raised carbon-fiber-style weave, creating visible texture and subtle shadow detail that changes as light travels across the finished surface.
Digital images cannot fully reproduce the film’s raised texture. Apparent whiteness, weave contrast and surface depth will vary with lighting, viewing angle, panel shape, surrounding colors and screen settings.
White Carbon Fiber SW900-115-X replaces the flat appearance of ordinary white vinyl with a raised, repeating weave that creates visible depth across the surface. The white base keeps the overall look bright and modern, while the textured pattern adds a technical, performance-inspired character.
Direct lighting can make the weave appear sharper and more defined. Softer lighting reduces contrast and gives the finish a cleaner, subtler appearance. Curves and changes in panel angle create additional highlights and shadows across the textured pattern.
As part of the SW900X Extreme Texture family, this film can be used for full or partial vehicle transformations and carefully planned accents. Its thicker 4.2 mil face creates the dimensional carbon-fiber appearance but may provide less conformability than thinner, smooth-finish SW900 films.
White Carbon Fiber works especially well with gloss black, satin black, exposed black carbon fiber, gunmetal, silver and polished metal. Red, blue, yellow, orange, violet or lime accents can add a focused motorsport contrast.
White Carbon Fiber combines a raised SW900X textured surface with Avery Dennison® Easy Apply™ RS adhesive technology for positioning, air management and professional application on properly prepared surfaces.
The textured finished surface creates physical depth rather than relying only on a printed pattern, producing highlights and shadows that respond to real lighting.
Easy Apply™ RS technology provides slideability and repositionability, helping the installer align the material before applying firm final pressure.
The adhesive and liner system helps trapped air escape during application, reducing bubbles and supporting controlled installation over large areas.
The cast-film construction is designed for vehicle wrapping, while the thicker textured face requires more planning and controlled forming than standard smooth SW900 colors.
The five-foot width allows many hoods, roofs, trunks and side panels to be covered in one piece, helping reduce unnecessary seams.
The acrylic adhesive is designed for professional removal during the applicable durability period, subject to paint condition, substrate, installation, exposure and maintenance.
White Carbon Fiber has an approximately 4.2 mil face, and Avery notes that films at or above 4 mil may have reduced conformability. Complex recesses and severe compound curves require careful evaluation, tension management, heat control and professional installation. This decorative vinyl is not paint protection film and does not provide stone-chip, puncture or self-healing protection.

*Product specifications, available dimensions, installation recommendations and warranty terms are subject to change and may vary by production lot, geographic zone, application angle, substrate, storage and installation conditions. Avery Dennison’s current North American product data identifies Carbon Fiber White SW900-115-X as an SW900X textured film with an approximately 4.2 mil / 107 µm face. Films at or above 4 mil may have reduced conformability. The SW900X textured-film durability rating is up to four years for qualifying Zone 1 vertical exposure, with shorter coverage for horizontal, non-vertical and more severe geographic exposures. This product is decorative vinyl and is not paint protection film. Professional installation and physical sample evaluation are strongly recommended. A successful wrap begins long before the film touches the surface. Follow this practical guide to prepare, position, apply, trim and finish your vinyl with greater control and a cleaner, more professional result.
Vinyl wrap is designed to conform to smooth surfaces, but the film can only perform as well as the surface underneath it. Dirt, wax, oil, loose paint, rough repairs and hidden moisture may affect adhesion or become visible through the installed material.
Before beginning, inspect the panel, plan your material direction and decide where seams, relief cuts and finishing edges will be located. Measure twice, cut with enough working allowance and avoid pulling the film tighter than needed.
Working gradually gives you more control. It helps reduce trapped air, unnecessary stretching, distorted finishes and weak edges caused by rushing.
Review the complete process before starting. Each step supports the next, so skipping preparation or finishing work may affect the final appearance and long-term adhesion.
Wash, degrease, dry and inspect the panel so the adhesive can contact a smooth, stable and contaminant-free surface.
Measure the coverage area carefully and cut the film slightly oversized to leave enough material for positioning and edge finishing.
Anchor the film, expose the adhesive gradually and use overlapping squeegee strokes while working in manageable sections.
Use controlled heat to soften the vinyl for curves and irregular shapes, stretching only as much as the area requires.
Trim carefully, avoid cutting into the substrate and finish edges with firm pressure before tucking them into suitable seams.
Heat-set stretched areas, recesses, curves and edges according to the exact instructions for the film being installed.
Check every edge, seam and contour. Correct remaining bubbles carefully, then avoid washing or harsh exposure for approximately 24–48 hours while the adhesive develops its bond.
These expandable instructions keep the page easy to navigate while giving you the important details needed at every stage of the installation.
Adhesion begins with the condition of the panel. Do not apply film over wax, grease, dust, loose paint, rust, moisture or unstable repairs.
Post-heating helps stabilize areas that were stretched or formed under tension. The required temperature differs by product, finish, manufacturer and application.
Clean, suitable tools improve control and help protect the film. Organize everything before starting so the installation does not need to stop midway.
A heat gun provides more controlled heat. Excessive temperature may damage vinyl, distort the finish, affect adhesive performance or harm the substrate.
Knifeless tape is positioned underneath the vinyl before application. A thin internal filament is then pulled through the film, creating a guided cut without placing a knife blade directly against the painted surface.
Commonly used for curved cuts, flowing shapes, striping and intricate design work.
Commonly used for straight or gently curved cuts and clean finishing near panel edges.
Designed to span gaps or seams while supporting a controlled cut through the applied vinyl.

This guide provides general educational information and does not replace the current technical bulletin, installation instructions, warranty terms or safety guidance issued by the film, tape, tool or chemical manufacturer. Product behavior, compatible surfaces, application temperature, post-heat temperature and finishing requirements vary. Test unfamiliar products and substrates before installation. Professional installation is recommended for full vehicles, complex curves and high-value surfaces. Knifeless is a trademark of 3M.
