Edge sealer is a clear glossy tape used to seal vehicle wraps, window graphics and for sealing cut edges and seams on watercraft wraps & graphics applications. 3M Edge Sealer minimizes the adverse effects of rigorous use or prolonged or severe exposure conditions by providing water and contaminant-tight seal between the film and substrate. This product also may be applied even after the applied film shows signs of wear, such as edge lifting, to significantly reduce further wear.

Preparation Steps for Edge Sealing

1. Do not apply edge sealer unless the temperature is above the minimum recommended temperature.

2. Remove any application tape and re-squeegee the edges before applying the edge sealer.

3. Make sure all edges to be sealed are clean, dry, and free of contaminants.

Prevent edge lift!

Use edge sealing tape for gloss, satin, matte wraps and for window perf vinyl. It helps seal and protect all edges of a wrap including wheel wells, the hood, trunk, and doors. Use 3M to seal your windshield banner along the bottom edge so the windshield wiper doesn't catch on the window perf vinyl. Because it's optically clear you won't see the tape, and you may extend the life of your wrap. Edge sealing tape also helps to prevent "fingers" on the edges of wraps that have been stretched. Sealing tape is definitely a must have wrap tool.
